Electronic TRV - CLOSED FOR NEW COMMENTS
You do not do a battery version of a thermostatic radiator valve. I have a house that is about 14 years old and while most of the house is underfloor heated and well suited to your system, I have a top floor which is radiator heated. In fact I have 4 room radiators, and 5 towel radiators all on one wet circuit controlled by a single stat on the landing on the top floor, and time switch in the garage (where the boiler is)
This is just calling our for more detailed control.

I agree this would be good - but be aware that you can put UFH actuators on most TRV bodies, you need to conceal wires though and you’re best with 4 wire ones so they can call for heat. -

EdYes, plenty of hybrid set-ups in the existing housing stock where the integration of TRV would significantly improve heating and cost control. Alternatively is currently 3rd party wireless TRV on a separate app.

Barry ARemote control and management of the TRV's would be a good improvement to the system. I have tried the Electronic TRV's that are not wireless and only local control and was for ever going around to change them. Would not like to introduce another app and a different supplier. It would be good to integrate into the Heatmiser App. There are a couple of companies that have Zigbee OEM TRv's perhaps that would be a more cost effective way to integrate smart TRV's into the range.

Grahame CrispinI too have multiple neo stat zones downstairs and traditional trv rads upstairs. Neo stat / neo hub compatible Heatmiser trvs would really up the anti on systems such as this.

Hector Kanaristhe same position here, underfloor heating downstairs split into 7 zones 7 neo stats, then upstairs 1 stat to control 5 rooms and 3 towel rails. absolute bonkers, wireless TRVS are a must-have, the only thing missing in the portfolio. don't really want to look at another manufacturer to control the upstairs, but I may just have to.

RobSame here, ufh downstairs with traditional TRVs and radiators upstairs on one landing thermostat. A similar motorised TRV like Honeywell produce that could talk to the neostat/hub (and call for heat) would be fantastic

simon WHITTAKERAgree with all these comments. When choosing Heatmiser it was a close call against Evohome - bearing in mind I wanted wireless throughout. I have a mix of electric UFH, wet UFH and rads. Evohome do rads and wet UFH but no electric UFH and Heatmiser do electric UFH and wet UFH but not rads. Heatmiser won on price. If Heatmiser did wireless TRVs as well then it would be a complete package that nobody else does and would have been a no-brainer. I am still waiting on Heatmiser TRVs!!!

LukeWireless Rad valves would really help. I have an annexe that I'd like to zone separately. Boiler firm implied that heatmiser could do this. Now I find individual rads need to be wired. Quite disappointing!

NickAgree with all of the above. I am using a Heatmiser for my downstairs UFH and cant believe that they don't have wireless TRVs on their portfolio. The Heatmiser hub for controlling the UFH remotely is fantastic. Heatmiser are missing a trick here. We have 'smart everything' and the lack of integration on an immature market is a right pain. I would like to be able to get all my smart lighting on the same system as well.

IsaacAnother vote. Have been using Heatmiser Neo for 3 years and am very happy with it but the lack of radiator control is a real gap in the system. I'm making do with Bluetooth TRV's that can't call for heat but at least I can wirelessly schedule and control. Good but not great. Can't understand why Heatmiser are not developing this and complete their portfolio and becomde the only brand to cover all bases.

Max100% needs wireless TRV adding. I have fully zoned systems but about three rads that I cannot otherwise integrate. PLEASE add wireless TRVs with groups controllable by NeoStats as a matter of priority!

Paul H MergedIt would be great if you could develop a smart radiator value that integrates with the rest if the Neo system. The idea would be to have a NeoStat on the wall in the rooms associated with a smart valve on the radiator in that room. You could then control those rooms in exactly the same way as you do with underfloor heating via manifold and valves.
There are lots of manufacturers who do smart radiator TRVs, but these all suffer from the problem that the temperature sensing is in the TRV itself which is right next to the hot radiator and hence the room air temperature is often quite different. Having a separate NeoStat on the wall to control the radiator value is much more accurate and gives all the benefits of the Neo heating control system to a house that has radiators.
Ideally the radiator valve would want to be battery powered and connect into the Zigbee wireless network that the Neo system uses. -
