Heating On/Off Indication on History graph (Gen 2 neoHub)
On the temperature history graphs (including expanded history), it would be really useful to show when the heating was turned on and off.
Being able to determine which room temperature changes (up and down) were a result of heating rather than ambient temp changes, and how long a room takes to warm up/cool down after the heating is turned on/off by the stat, would help greatly with setting the options for optimum heating performance.

David ChippingI agree fully with this idea, maybe you could consider changing the colour of the graph at times when the heating is actually on.
-

NeilAgreed - this would be extremely useful. It would help determine when zones were maxing out too. Changing the colour of the graph when calling for heat vs cooling down is an excellent idea.

Simon BrownThis is a vital improvement that will allow an insight into the way multi zone installations use electricity in order to assist with efficient energy management. In the current climate of energy consiousness it should add value to the neo air product and make it more desirable for a future world.

Edward sargentAgree. In addition, in the expanded history view, can the graph auto zoom in to say 5degrees +/- the actual usage data so that the view is useful. The current view of a static 40 degree range means the small changes can not be seen.
It would be great to utilise landscape mode on phones so when looking at expanded history and the phone is turned to landscape, a day spreads across the entire screen. That way the detailed data points can be viewed clearly. Adding time stamps would also be benefici -

TonyBeing able to see when each zone is calling for heat is vital to be able to analyse how well the system is performing. basically when the flame is marked on the stats should be shown in the charts or in a data table below the chart. The times will likely be short so the ability to zoom in on the graphs would help. The graph currently shows the temp in the pop up display, would be great to add the time as well.
This app has been getting better. keep improving. -

TonyHi. Reading the description and the comments I wonder is everyone talking about the same thing. Could you confirm if this feature is planned to show the times when the zone is calling for heat (i.e the flame is on). Thanks

Karl EvansThis is a must feature - I'm currently trying to work out why one room is over heating (I'm suspicious one of the actuators on the UFH is on the wrong circuit). I'm having to turn all rooms off and then one on for 3-4 hours to check Neo Air is operating correct actuator and that is heating a specific floor. If I could see and check there was a correlation between calling for heat and room temp (lagging by an hour) - I'd be more assured.

RobIt would also be very helpful if the floor temperature reading as well as air temp were shown on the chart and also when the floor temp limit is hit. Thanks

Boston PropertyI was planning to suggest this too. Very useful feature.
Also to add changing the vertical axis scale (eg by pinching on the axis with 2 fingers) as most of the graph display is empty space. Or to add autoacale. -

PhilAgreed, showing when heating was running would be a major improvement

ROY AAC MergedView the Thermostat’s Usage History for each Zone NeoStat2Gen.
Basically it informs you how many times the Thermostat has switched on/off in a histogram form. -

Heatmiser R&D Admin"History of the individual Zones, which shows the On/Off for a each day in a histogram form." (suggested by ROY AAC on 2019-12-04), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion.

PipWould it be possible to add functionality to the history function of the App to show when the thermostat is heating, and when not?
We have electric underfloor heating controlled by the Neo-stat, but has central heating controlled by a Nest. It’s unclear whether the room temp is increasing because of the radiators or the floor.
Having the floor temp as well as the room temp would also be useful. -

EddieThis is an absolute must for any heating app and should have been impleted from the start.

NickThis would be a great feature. But what about where there is a variable strength of call for heat? Would it be possible to show how strong the call for heat is? I have a suspicion that my zones are calling for too little heat at the wrong times! Thank you.

Heatmiser R&D AdminNick. The system is either on/off, there isn't any modulating of the output. It sounds like you need to get a heating engineer to check your system.

humphreyWith the wireless system UH8RF and NeoAir, it is important to know if the zone was triggered outside of scheduled programme because you cannot tell when UH8RF lost RF with NeoAir and entered a failsafe! This will tell me if there is signal problem

DanielI was actually really surprised to find this page when looking for how to access heating history. Is there really no way to know when my heating system is on or off? I'd have thought that would be a core requirement in any kind of history view!
Please Heatmiser add this in as soon as possible. I come home to a warm house and have no idea if I've paid for it or if its natural warming. -

Andy HutchThe graph view is not very good/useful. The scale is just ridiculous. No way does it need to go up to 35 degrees! 25 degrees should suffice. And on the minimum side, 10 degrees should be the minimum scale as the auto frost will kick in at 12 degrees. This will make the graph more viewable. I also agree with having the calling for heat function. There's a bug in the Android app graph - it has a zero reading as the last data point so the graph line drops to zero.

Paul HThis would be a very good addition for optimizing the underfloor heating, so would be great to see this feature in the near future. I was just about to put the request in for this feature, when I saw it was requested last year, so well done Heatmiser for listening so well to your customers requests.

CissDefinitely needed. Also good to see which rooms call for heat more often, in case there is an insulation issue. Please develop.
Love the idea of the graph being a different colour when heating is on. Maybe even a total the length of time the heating was on for each room per day. -
14 Dec, '20
AdrianI completely agree with the need for this ... Can Heatmiser give any indication when it might be implemented please ?
-
20 Dec, '20
MarkoI agree the need to show when heating was on or off.
There also should be a line showing the temperature set point to compare the reading with the requested heat.
Daily, weekly, and monthly graphs should be exportable as SVG using the Android / iOS share functionality. -

Jon ODisplaying the outside temperature would be useful as well. Hence understanding the impact of outside temperature on the house temperature. Being able to toggle the different values shown (using e.g. checkboxes) would help with keeping different users happy.

LBHas this happened yet? Can't see it on my Heatmiser Neo App. Is it going to happen?
-
26 Jan, '21
Neil B.From a pro installer perspective, it would be usful to have three colour states for the graph if possible, for zone calling for heat in optimum start, zone calling for heat within existing heating schedule, and no zone demand. Knowing how optimum start is performing and if it is successfully learning the room response would be helpful when monitoring complex sites for customers.

valmikiWould it be possible to set the scale on the graph? as it still starts at 0c or enable a zoom function that is saved over different zones
-

David ChippingThanks for developing the app in line with many requests. It is great to see the colour coded for each zone, but it would also be useful to have a full system graph as well as each zone. Thanks
-

David ChippingHaving used the new expanded history feature for a few days, it appears as if the second graph showing hours run, only includes the Red periods where in fact the heating is also running during the Green periods. I think the graph should reflect the time that heating is active even if that is outside the Red zones.

Fiachra SweeneyIt would be nice to have a quick view to see on one page which rooms and when each is using heating.
As energy costs rise, it is interesting to see when and where energy is being used without having to scroll through each room day by day looking for red sections in temp graphs.
