Setting-Up box for RF thermostats and UH-RF

1 votes

There are problems with the RF slimline thermostats making reliable contact with the UH-RF, especially when there are thick stone walls in the house. There is a lag between the thermostat calling for heat (or not requiring heat) and the UH-RF responding. This makes the RF side difficult to set up, by positioning the thermostats in different places within each room and finding the optimum place to site any Heatmiser Boost and/or Neoplugs.

If you had a portable box that could receive the signals from the thermostats and the boosters and indicate for each unit how strong the signal was it would enable the positioning of the thermostat and if required any booster/s to be made to ensure the strongest signal was present at the UH-RF.

This unit would only need to be used during initial setting up of the heating system and could be made available to heating installers, or to individuals to improve the RF link and ensure a reliable temperature regulation and a good working heating system.
